Big "Bad" Warriors Barely Squeak By Shorthanded Drunken Clams
Despite the Warriors holding a 13-8 edge in the skaters category, the Drunken Clams would uphold their recognition as playoff warriors and give the Warriors more than they could handle. Drunken Clams Get Well Deserved, Much Needed Victory Over The Puck Pimps
After a devastating first 10 games, the Drunken Clams have put that behind them, eliminating them from their personal record, counting their record from games 11 on, with their first consecutive victories in 30 regular season games, they now own a 3-2 record on the season.

Barring a loss tonight could have been detrimental to the Clams season this year, it would have put them 7 points back of the Puck Pimps, but with a well played, much deserved victory, they now find themselves only 3 points back of the Puck Pimps.

With an explosive 2 minutes late in the second period, the Clams would hang on for the 6-4 victory.

Gloria!!!!!!!!!
Or in the immortal words of The Rock...Finally!!!!

The slump is over!!! Not counting last seasons playoff run, in their previous 25 regular season games, after going 0-21-4 during that span, the Drunken Clams broke out for an 8-5 victory over the Hawks.

Despite controlling the play, the Hawks opened the scoring, leading 2-0 late in the first until the line of CJ Caputo, Jordan Johnson, and John Dunbar exploded for 3 goals in 24 seconds and the Drunken Clams would lead 3-2 going into the second period.

The Clams would build on that lead in the second on goals from Andrew Beaule, Thomas Gilman, with Johnson completing the natural hat-trick with the Drunken Clams leading 6-3 heading into the final period.

Both teams would exchange goals in the third, including a powerplay goal each, as the Drunken Clams would finally end their seemingly forever slump of winless in 25, as they begin their long uphill climb to get back into playoff contention for this season.

Three Stars:

1) Jordan Johnson - 3G, 1A
2) John Dunbar - 4A
3) CJ Caputo - 1G, 2A

After consecutive mercy losses, the Drunken Clams answered back before moving down to division 2 next week, with a strong effort and resilient comeback to earn a draw against the rival Winterhawks.

Despite being behind 3-1 after the first period, the Drunken Clams rallied in the second on goals from Thomas Gilman, Dylan Beston, and Rory Dawson's first of the season to tie the game at 4-4 going into the final period.

Drunken Clams Earn Second Consecutive Tie
Wednesday night saw the two winless clubs face off against each other, so it was kind of fitting to end the night in a tie.

After a close, tightly-played first period that saw the Puck Pimps ahead 1-0, the Pimps would pull ahead leading 4-1 halfway through the game. The Clams would narrow that gap, down by one heading into the third period.

John Dunbar, scoring early in the period would even the score, but with a nifty deflection and a breakaway goal, the Puck Pimps would restore their 2-goal lead late in the game. With G Nigel Sadal pulled for the extra attacker, Jordan Johnson would score with 2:24 remaining to pull the Clams within one. The Clams would throw all they had at the net trying to even the score again. With 0:16 remaining, the Pimps would take a penalty, and Johnson would capitalize again, scoring with 8 seconds remaining to tie the game up, and end it 6-6.

Three Stars:

1) Charles Abbott - 1G, 3A
2) Jordan Johnson - 2G, 1A
3) John Dunbar - 2G, 1A

Drunken Clams Earn A Point In Tie With The Rangers
The Drunken Clams settled for a tie, earning their first point in the season in their game versus The Rangers.

The Clams sent their usual barrage of pucks at the opposing goalie, earning a 6-4 lead heading into the final period.

Clams G Nigel Sadal took some steps in the right direction, but still has a lot of work to do. "I feel bad, like I'm letting the guys down. I tried to simplify my game, I'm not an acrobatic goalie, so I worked on my positioning, and felt much better with that aspect of my game, but I kept getting caught not having my stick down on the ice, and that cost us. I'm going to keep working on it, I have to do it for the guys, they always play hard in front of me, baby steps, rebuild my confidence and get back to where I know I can play and help contribute"

1) Andrew Beaule - 4A
2) Dylan Beston - 4A
3) Greg Gardiner - 3G

Drunken Clams Fall Short Of Comeback In Shootout At Flames Community Arenas
The Drunken Clams held their own against the shorthanded Goldmembers, holding a 3-2 lead after the first period, before the Goldmembers turned up the dial, outscoring the Clams 8-3 in the second period, taking a 10-6 lead into the third. The Drunken Clams rallied in the third, outscoring the Goldmembers 5-3 to pull within two, but that would be as close as they would get this night in a wild 13-11 shootout loss.

Offseason Rust Takes Some Time To Shake Off
The Drunken Clams opened their 13th summer season against a familiar opponent in the Winterhawks. In typical Clams fashion, the rust was apparent early, as the Clams fell behind 5-0 after the first period, with Jordan Johnson opening the Clams scoring this season getting them on the board early in the second, trailing 7-1 until late in the second before Will Gretton would kickstart the Clams offense, as the Clams outscored the Winterhawks 8-4 from that point, falling short in the season opener by a final score of 11-9.

Three Stars:

1) Jordan Johnson - 2G, 3A
2) Greg Gardiner - 2G, 1A
