Green Renhe Guizhou Riverside Student Assistance Tour - Which Road Did She Come From

　　From July 25th to 31st, 2018, a group of 14 people from Green People and Sunshine Student Assistance Center went to Guizhou Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County to carry out Sunshine Student Assistance Activities.
　　The following is a touching story and sharing recorded by renowned author Lin Dongzhi Nan (Xu Guang) from the same industry.
　　This is the most touching story we have seen and experienced in the riverside assistance program. In other words, even in the context of 11 years of student assistance, it still makes people feel so deeply. In a few days, we will end my journey of assisting students in Southwest China, but I believe that the mother and daughter who grew up on the banks of the Wujiang River will make their smiles rooted in the memories of each of us.
　　The third stop along the river was in a distant village. When the car stopped, a girl in white stood by the roadside and greeted us with a smile. At that time, we didn't know that she was the interviewee of this trip, Xiaojing.
　　Climbing over a small hill, a simple house stood there, and Xiaojing said, 'This is her home.'.
I　　n the hall, a kindly looking old aunt sat quietly. Xiaojing said that this was her grandmother, and her ears were not very good now. We sat down. These were some simple yet tidy houses, and the mother of the child, Ms. Wang, with some shyness, poured water and washed plums for us. At our invitation, Xiaojing sat next to us and smiled calmly and generously, which made us feel a bit awkward.
　　The dialogue unfolds here. In our previous visits or years of experience, children from impoverished families were mostly shy and uneasy, but Xiaojing was not at all, which made us very curious.
　　Then we learned that she took the college entrance examination this year and recently received an admission notice from a 985 university, majoring in English. For these assisted children, being sensible, silent, and even somewhat timid is the norm in our hearts, but when we face such a sunny, generous, and even somewhat noble girl, we don't know how to start the conversation.
　　The local teacher Yang invited Ms. Wang to sit down as well. The friendly teacher He asked about the condition of the family members with concern. The child's mother gradually lost her previous smile and said with some sadness that her father passed away when Xiaojing was 6 years old, and she was also an only daughter. From then on, she was left under the eaves, carrying her parents and a pair of children, supporting her through the cold and summer days and nights.
　　At that moment, there was a hint of coolness in the air.
　　She summoned her son in and sat with her sister, just like the pure and beautiful Xiaojing in front of her. Although his clothes were simple, his handsome face could not be concealed.
　　Teacher Xiao began to demonstrate one of the gifts he brought to the two children - the Guoxue Machine, while we were on the side, visiting Ms. Wang's family with some caution and unease.
　　This is not my strong point, just walk out the door with others. In the hall, farm tools were neatly arranged, and the covers on the furniture were spotless. The decoration of the entire room is simple and tidy, indicating that she is a hardworking, strong, and proud woman.
　　The old aunt sat quietly on the chair, and we knew she couldn't hear anything, but we could still see from her calm and peaceful demeanor. Although she had gone through various hardships in life, now she is truly calm and traceless.
　　When we returned to the room again, we saw Ms. Wang with her back to us, sobbing silently. We have already learned that over the years, this weak woman has been lifting her parents with one hand and dragging her children with the other, day after day in this endless mountain. What an unimaginable life it has been, and how can she endure year after year?
T　　he female volunteers who were accompanying us had already turned red in their eyes. We came to the main room and sat in a large circle, inviting their mother and daughter to share some stories together. The visit was two-way, and I pretended to start with ease. When I asked about her school, which was only average in the local area, I smiled and said that it seemed like you were also a child delayed by the school.
　　Teacher Xiao finally bravely threw out the question we wanted to ask but couldn't mention, saying that we were not surprised by your efforts, but did you feel your sunshine and confidence? You came from these difficult environments and I hope you can say a few words to us.
　　Xiaojing still maintained her usual smile, and after a moment of contemplation, she said, 'I know that my family needs my efforts.'.
　　The conversation continued for a long time afterwards, and Xiaojing repeatedly mentioned that I need to repay and help my family, and I will work hard.
　　Her mother, Ms. Wang, sometimes smiled and sometimes shed tears. She told us that a few years ago, Xiaojing was a very stubborn child, with a math score of 16 and an English score of 40.
　　After her father's death, she did not rise up like the legendary Jedi, but was not very satisfactory in all aspects. Until one day, in a special life scene, an episode occurred at home. Ms. Wang told her daughter in her own way that no matter how hard she struggles, she will do her best. However, when you reach the age when you should share some of the burden with your family, you also need to work hard, not just for yourself.
　　I think there was too much in the mother's words that day. Anyway, since then, this child has been the first to create miracles in learning, with math scores soaring from 16 to 150. I don't know if it was the poor child who took over the family early on. She may have been stirring up some things in the family together with her mother in her own way since then.
　　For 11 years, among the students who have been assisted, she is definitely outstanding academically. It's not surprising to cultivate a sensible child in such a family. But her sunshine, confidence, and peace, which were slightly out of proportion to her age and family background, did indeed surprise us. I think this is the most precious thing that the strong Ms. Wang has passed on to her daughter.
　　The room was very simple, revealing all the hardships and hardships of the family, but all the places were spotless. This may be Ms. Wang, who is much older than her actual age of 43, giving her children little by little lessons.
　　Xiaojing translated for us, and her mother said that during busy farming days, she could only ask her grandmother, who was unable to move, to make something for Xiaojing, who had been self-studying late. Her grandmother's actions were obviously very slow, and her mind could also see signs of not being very clear. Xiaojing said, as long as my grandmother can cook me a bowl of food, no matter what it is, I will eat it.
　　Speaking of this, we couldn't help but feel a bit heavy on our expressions. Several female volunteers began to wipe their tears again, while Xiaojing kept a quiet sitting posture and a calm smile. What kind of child is this, able to remain calm and silent in the face of these sorrows that we cannot listen to.
　　Yes, she is destined to be an extraordinary child. She is not incapable of shedding tears, but sometimes, the heavy and harsh reality temporarily deprives us of the ability to shed tears. I know that in the heart of such a child, there have always been moments of tears, but she has already passed this stage. She must have dried her tears time and time again, using her tender shoulders to lift the burden of life.
　　Child, your calm smile makes us very unbearable; Tears are also your right as a child.
　　When we bid farewell, Xiaojing's siblings and mother stood by the roadside, waving to us. The car had already started, but they still stood there.
　　I think this is the most comforting and surprising thing I have seen in assistive learning. It is not surprising that a hardworking child's efforts and counterattacks are not surprising. What is commendable is the sunshine, confidence, gratitude, responsibility, and youthful spirit she retains when facing all these disasters and the long-term pressure of life.
　　We often talk about nirvana and rebirth from the ashes. Without a doubt, what lies ahead is a beautiful and moving little phoenix with scars and calluses that we cannot detect. We believe that she will strive to move forward in the future and bring surprises to her loved ones, including all of us who care for her. We also know that she is still a child, and the child knows the hardships and tiredness. However, the hardships of life have given her the courage and motivation to sustain her lifelong journey.

I believe that in the future, we will definitely have days of walking together and various intersections; We wish that the mother and daughter who have been walking through adversity can truly live a peaceful life; We will also look forward to this magical little crystal, able to walk calmly on the muddy or thorny paths of the future with a beautiful smile, and then walk into every corner of our world with the fragrance of flowers.
